The Penarth Local History Society are an independent group that hold monthly presentation talks by guest speakers on local historical &/ cultural topics of interest.
The Society Meet once a month on the 2nd Monday (except for June, August & December)
at: The Tabernacle Church, Plassey St, Penarth, CF64 1EN
Basement room.
Doors open 1915 for 1930 start with approximate finish time 2030-2100
June Event - is an annual guided walking talk with a local historian.
August & December - No talks take place.
Attendance fee for non-members is £3 (cash only)
Raffle available £1 per ticket
MEMBERSHIP
PLHS is a Member-Subscription group.
Membership costs £20 (cash only) and runs from Jan-Dec. Payable at any of the first 4 evenings (after that cheaper to pay non-member fee).
£Donations also welcome.

TOPICAL SPEAKERS WANTED: The PLHS is looking for speakers for its annual schedule of presentations. If you have, or know someone who could provide a presentation for Next Year's Jan-Nov schedule, please get in touch before the end of October of this year. Note, the Penarth Civic Society are also looking for speakers, so please use the PCS contact information listed opposite and the two groups will collaborate and coordinate on creating their respective programmes.
